I am prescribing carafate for a pt d/t being diagnosed with severe erosive gastritis. The directions say not to give other medications 2 hrs before or after taking carafate. In this hospital setting, following these directions is nearly impossible. Any ideas?

You can try giving Proton pump inhibitors instead. And give carafate in the noon and evening. Try spacing the drugs in such a way. Thank you.
