My husband had an ablation to eliminate his a- fib last August and has developed esophageal disorders.He is suffering,been hospitalized Three times since February .He has lost 30 plus pounds and has had various diagnosis.Could his Vagus been damaged during the ablation,and can a thing be done to repair it? No ma'am. It is not possible to damage vagus nerve, as it is an essential nerve in the body. If something happens to it, it will stop the heart from working.
