Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have been diagnosed with Grade A Esophagitis,Lax LES and Antral erosions. Could you please explain me what is this and what is the treatment for this? I have very bad burping, reflex, dry throat and some times chest pain. Please help me. I am waiting for your valuable reply.
The endoscopic findings are suggestive of acid peptic disease involving both the lower part of the stomach and the esophagus. I advise you to take proton pump inhibitor like pantoprazole along with a prokinetic like domperidone for about 4-6 weeks.
Avoid smoking, caffeine, alcohol, hot and spicy foods, carbonated drinks, fast foods and do not sleep immediately after having foods. Take a healthy diet, do regular exercise and try to lose your body weight if obese.
Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Mohammed Taher Ali, General & Family Physician and Fetal Medicine
