Suggest Treatment For Excessive Coughing And Dizziness
My dad is 84. He s been coughing considerably (sounds like it s deep in the lungs). Now, he s dizzy whenever he stands (not when he sits). This morning he vomited as a result of the dizziness. He also mentioned that when he urinates there s very little urine. All symptoms are concurrent.
I recommend consulting with his attending physician for a physical exam and some tests: - A chest X ray study - Kidney and liver function tests - A resting ECG - Blood electrolytes
Further tests may be needed.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Coughing can be due to inflammation of the small airways or bronchitis. I suggest you to consult your pulmonologist for clinical assessment, investigations and thus management. Dizziness and vomiting can be due to indigestion or weakness. I suggest you to take rest and take light food for relief. If the vomiting and light headedness does not still resolve then you need to consult your physician.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
