Suggest Treatment For Excessive Sleeping In An Infant
New Born Baby Lost 10% Weight in 6 Days My baby was born on 23.08.15 with 3.2 kg weight, today, 28.08.15, her weight is 2.9 kg.She is feeded by breast milk as well as baby milk. We did not tried to feed her forcefully. She is sleeping all the time.Sometimes crying for food. During feeding she tends to sleep. We are very worried for her. Please suggest what to do?
In the first few days after delivery, there may be weight loss, this is not unusual.
A baby should normally feed for approximately 30 minutes each feed. If you find she is falling asleep during a feed, gently stimulate her feet to wake her up.
You can also consider feeding her every 4 hours as well.
I hope this helps
