Suggest Treatment For Excessive Sweating And Forgetfulness After Taking Arimidex

I had breast cancer over 5 years ago. I had a lumpectomy and had Radiation. I took Arimidex for four years and four months. I had every problem you can name with taking this medication. I sweated so badly and my memory got so bad I had to stop. It has been 9 months. My memory has not changed and I still sweat so very much. I can do little work or sit in church and sweat will run down my back or my hair will be wet in the back. I always have to wear a band even working in doors. Before Cancer I never sweated, so I am asking everyone if they can help me know if this could still be the Arimidex in my system

Hello,

Excessive sweating and forgetfulness are both possible side effects of Arimidex, and it's possible that these symptoms are still present in your system even 9 months after stopping the medication. If I was your caring doctor would run some other tests like blood electrolytes, thyroid panel, diabetes panel to understand if there are changes.

If everything is ok, then, the sweating is related to the effects of cancer. Meanwhile, I advise to apply some lifestyle changes that may help with excessive sweating, such as avoiding triggers like spicy foods and caffeine, staying hydrated, wearing breathable clothing, and using antiperspirants.

There are also certain exercises and activities that can help improve memory, such as puzzles, memory games, and other brain exercises. Cognitive training programs can be helpful for those experiencing memory problems. At the end, keep in mind to always keep in touch with your caring doctor to get the most appropriate treatment and support.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
