Hello,
Excessive sweating and forgetfulness are both possible side effects of
Arimidex, and it's possible that these symptoms are still present in your system even 9 months after stopping the medication. If I was your caring doctor would run some other tests like blood electrolytes,
thyroid panel,
diabetes panel to understand if there are changes.
If everything is ok, then, the sweating is related to the effects of cancer. Meanwhile, I advise to apply some lifestyle changes that may help with excessive sweating, such as avoiding triggers like spicy foods and caffeine, staying hydrated, wearing breathable clothing, and using antiperspirants.
There are also certain exercises and activities that can help improve memory, such as puzzles, memory games, and other brain exercises. Cognitive training programs can be helpful for those experiencing memory problems. At the end, keep in mind to always keep in touch with your caring doctor to get the most appropriate treatment and support.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Albana Sejdini, General & Family Physician
