Suggest Treatment For Excessive Sweating, Hyponatremia, Nausea And Back Pain

I have been having excessive sweating 24/7, very low sodium, nausea, back pain, and my blood pressure swings from normal to extremely high. I am on blood pressure medicine among many other prescriptions. It seems that, every day, I feel worse. I am sleeping ALL the time. What is wrong with me? I have fasting blood work in the AM for my annual physical. Is there any specific test I should request for the blood work?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Based on the history you have shared, you need to have serum cortisol levels and thyroid profile done as well as urinary electrolytes and urine osmolarity tests. Such electrolytes abnormalities need to be worked up for any endocrine causes. Endocrinologist review may be helpful. Meanwhile symptomatic hyponatremia needs proper indoor management.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further. Wishing you a speedy recovery.

Regards,
Dr. Saddiq Ulabidin, General & Family Physician
