Suggest Treatment For Excessive Sweating, Shortness Of Breath And High BP
My husband is always sweating. He has a chronic cough and is short of breath. He does have COPD and quit smoking about 10 months ago. He told me today, he has been feeling funny . He is 68+ and overweight. The nurse that girl especially him his regicide said he should see a heart Dr because his blood pressure was high. I made an appt for May 15. Should I be worried or will he be alright until then. I have no money for this. I thought it was free. Sorry I wasted your time
Your husband is already known to have COPD, which explains the symptoms that he has been suffering from. Since blood pressure is raised, it is important to see a Doctor, get preliminary clinical examination, auscultation of heart and sung sounds.
Investigations like X-ray chest or CT scan, tests of blood will help to get a proper diagnosis. Many medicines for coughing can be causing problems with heart. Full cardiac checkup and further management as per the reports.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. T. Chandrakant, General Surgeon
