Thanks for your query . It could be possible that hanging skin you mention in your query occur due to frictional
injury of mucosa with braces . It generally happens in mouth when some unhealed injury is there . It can be define as a
granuloma or
hemangioma ,which is usually a benign and harmless condition.
But when this lesion gives signs of
redness ,bleeding or pus filled inside means it get infected and immediate treatment is needed .
I would suggest you to consult oral surgeon for proper examination and to rule out any serious condition or any other source of injury .Surgeon may remove it surgically under
local anesthesia and prescribe antibiotic course. Also consult your orthodontist to get your braces corrected .
Do not touch it with your tongue.
