Suggest Treatment For Extreme Fatigue And Joints Pain
I have become extremely fatigued and it is hard for me to start anything and takes a long time to warm up. If i work out then I feel even worse and the next day find it extremely hard to get up in the morning. I have recently changed my levothyroxin dosage from .150 down to .125. My shoulders have what they are telling me are torn ligaments or something and are now very painful when I have not injured myself. My bones ache. Not so much the joints as just the bones. I have been a diabetic for 50 years now and am age 62. What would you diagnose or who should I consult in person.
Hi, Extreme fatigue in your case, I can think of 2 possible reasons 1) Anaemia - you need to check your hemoglobin levels 2) Inadequate thyroxin tablet dosage - If you had decreased the tab dose on your own, please go back to 150. If your doctor has asked you to reduce the dose, kindly go back to the same doctor. Fatigue with joint pains in your case is most likely to be hypothyroidism due to inadequate levothyroxine dosage. However, both your complaints can also be due to uncontrolled diabetes or vitamin D deficiency both of which can be identified using a blood test after making sure that you are taking the adequate dose of levothyroxine.
