Hello,
Most likely diagnosis is bacterial or
fungal infection of the vagina via swimming pool water which may have contamination due to inadequate chlorination. Though primary relief can be obtained with apple cider vinegar, I would request definite curative pathway and avoid further complications as well
- Drink more liquids and maintain hydration
- Wear loose, clean, cotton inner wears
- Avoid tight jeans, prolong sitting, long drives
- Do not entertain any type of sex related activities with vagina or anus either in form of dry humping, penetrative sex or even
masturbation till complete recovery
- Get prescription of antibiotics as
clindamycin with or without
metronidazole as per the culture swab report or KOH preparation results; antihistamine as cetrizine; prophylaxis basis
fluconazole (200 mg) single dose at night for 2 days
- Local application of miconazole (2% cream) 3-4 times a day
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
