Suggest Treatment For Extreme Nasal Dryness

Hello... I am an out of state student at the University of Pittsburgh. I have noticed the last few times I moved back to Pittsburgh after an extended time away (Christmas, Easter, summer, etc.) that my nose gets really dry and a little bloody inside. It stays like that for about a week and eventually goes back to normal. It s obviously not a life threatening issue that I m super concerned about but it is very uncomfortable and annoying. Is there anything I can do to make it stop?? Also, do you know what may be causing it? My only guess is the change in elevation between Pittsburgh and where I live in Ohio.

Hello,

Saline nasal sprays. Use an over-the-counter nasal saline spray or homemade saltwater solution to flush the nose of irritants and help thin the mucus and soothe the membranes in your nose.
Corticosteroid nasal sprays. ...
Antihistamine nasal sprays. ...
Anti-drip anticholinergic nasal sprays.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
