The extreme numbness in the knee indicates possible nerve compression underlying at thigh or hip levels. My guidelines at present: - Avoid excess and prolong weight bearing over the concerned leg - Avoid sudden bending or weight lifting, strenuous maneuvers - Local application of capsaicin gel and heating pad - tablet pregabalin (75 mg) after meals (needs prescription) - Rotating and de-rotating movements of the knee if possible and not painful while sleeping over back
If you feel any further doubts, please go for a private consultation to me at this platform, where you can share her knee images, reports if any available as well.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
