Hi I received these injections almost 3 weeks ago. Last week I started to fell like there was something in my eye. I went to the eye doctor and he told me he saw bumps on the inside of my eyelids and was probably the result of some kind of allergy. Then I developed a burning sensation on my check which has now turned red and is slightly swollen. Yesterday out of the blue a dry scaly rash which also burns developed right along the injection sites on my hands. Are these related? what do I have to do to make it go away?
Well from your history, it seems you are stuck with hypersensitivity (allergic) reaction @ injection... For which I suggest to consult.your Doctor asap...
Secondly though your eyes may be having allergic conjunctivitis, there's no co relation between systemic allergy & ocular allergy...
For ocular allergy you can use Antihistaminics + Lubricating eye drops... They ll provide you far better symptomatic relief...
Still not improving , then you can switch over to low potent steroids viz flourometholone but under ophthalmologist supervision only...
For any further query , you can contact me... Regards, Dr. Pratik Gandhi. M.B.B.S., M.S., F.M.R.F. (Phaco)
