Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi, I have an eye blister over my eye lid and have been given "corsig" to use however it is not working, if anything it has now gone bigger, my doctor says to just soak it and keep using the corsig? I want it to disappear what can I do? The doctor has not explained what it actually is?
I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..
As per your complain a blister over the eyelid can be an infection in the specialized Glands present in the eyids known as Meibomian gland and the condition is known as Chalazion While it can also be due to infection at the base of the eyelash known as a Stye.. As you are advised corsig that contains antibiotic Chloramphenicol it is appropriate but in case of it is not improving the condition you can consult an Opthalmologist and get yand he can advise you Oral antibiotics as well as Oral and eyedrops of steroids for relief.. Warm soaks are also very effective in relieving the symptoms..
Hope this information helps..
Thanks and regards. Dr.Honey Nandwani Arora.
