Suggest Treatment For Eye Pain

Hi, I've been having alot of problems with my eyes and have had pain behind my eyes. Was wondering what to do about it. The doctor has said that it is dry eye, but it seems like the more I try to read something or watch something I wind up with a headache. What can I do?

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have eye pain . Well the symptoms you mention in query can occur due to certain reasons like migraine , glaucoma or optic neuritis. I would suggest you to consult ophthalmologist for proper examination . Doctor may order CT scan along with checking occular pressure along with taking history . Doctor may also refer you to neurologist to rule out migraine or any tumor . Doctor may prescribe diuretics , betablockers , anti inflammatory or eye drops . For now take proper rest , get yout eye site checked and take ibuprofen or acetaminophen for pain .

Hope your concern has been resolved.
