Suggest Treatment For Eyelid Lump

Hi. I have a hard nodule that feels like the size of the top of a cotton bud in the inner corner of my eye below the skin. It sits in the area between the c shaped skin at the inner corner of the eye by the nose and the eyelid. What could it be? I recently had a blepharoplasty when it started to form.

Hi,
Welcome To HCM & Thanks For Asking Your Query Here

From Your medical history most probably it looks like you have a Chalazion of your eyelid ,which is a lump of the eyelid that is caused by obstruction of the Drainage duct of an oil gland within the upper or lower eyelid

A Chalazion is not a growth or tumor. It is usually painless, although the area may be somewhat tender to touch. It is fairly common and will often disappear on its own or with treatment with moist heat applications

Warm compresses may be helpful. Hold a warm, wet towel on the eyelid for 5 to 10 minutes, four times a day, to reduce swelling and promote drainage of the gland. Lightly massage the area several times a day.
Do not "pop" or scratch the chalazion.

But if you notice Fever , Headache , Any visual changes (for example blurred vision, decreased ability to see) Eye pain or drainage Extensive swelling or redness ,If both the upper eyelid and the lower eyelid of one eye are swollen Contact an ophthalmologist immediately

finally i would strongly suggest you to see Your ophthalmologist , he may go for A prescription of antibiotic eye drops or ointments if a bacterial infection is suspected to be present , he may also opt for Injection of a steroid medicine in the area of the lump to help decrease the inflammation
If a chalazion creates significant symptoms or lasts for weeks, it may need to be surgically removed

I hope it help
