Suggest Treatment For Facial Acne Despite Using Fusidic Acid Cream

Hi, I am currently using Foban ointment (2% Fusidic acid) for my acne every other day and Salicylic acid & sulfur cream the rest of the days. My acne is around my chins and it has been like these for long time. I read that this is mostly caused by hormonal imbalance. I am not seeing any result even though my Doctor insisted that i should use the two medications alternatively every other day.

Hello,

As per your case history of acne, my treatment advice is -
1. Avoid sun exposure and use a good sunscreen lotion with SPF more than 30.
2. Apply a clindamycin gel like Glocin twice daily on it.
3. Other treatment options are oral doxycycline, minocycline, and isotretinoin taken only after consulting a dermatologist.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Harshit Bhachech
