Suggest Treatment For Facial Hair Growth

Hi Got facial hair growth due to PCOD problem, how it could be treated by dermatology to reduce the hair growth further. dont want any laser treatment. i need the suggestion to control hair growth further. for this is it better to consult gynecologist or a dermatologist?

Hi,

You need to first consult with the gynaecologist. Hormonal imbalance leading to higher than normal level of androgens is the cause of unwanted facial hair growth in females.

You may be prescribed cyclical pills to be taken for the next 3 to 6 months to regularise your hormones. Apart from Laser treatments,you can use basic methods of hair removal under the guidance of a dermatologist.
