Suggest Treatment For Failed Lumbar Fusion

I had a 360 2 level lumbar fusion on 12/20/13 and it failed to fuse and caused the next level go herniate. I had revision lamiocentomy triple fusion on 9/30/14 and in major pain and know that I probably have permanent nerve damage from both surgeries. I am only 37 and my Dr says that I am too young to be disabled. I know a triple fusion is rare and can t get a honest answer on what my future will be as disabled or try to work again and further damage my spine. What should I do?

Neurologist 's  Response
Hello,

I would definitely NOT submit to any further surgeries. At this point, the best possible approach or treatment for the back would be back exercise therapy to strength back and core muscles of the abdominal.

This will stabilize the spinal column more forcefully and help reduce to my pain as well as further spinal column deterioration. But, I would definitely avoid more surgery at all cost.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care
