Suggest Treatment For Fatigue And Diarrhea

Our family went camping on October 15-16, 2016 and we removed two ticks from my 5 year old son. One was removed Sunday and one Monday. All day Monday he was lethargic and didn t feel good. Monday evening he was very hungry around dinner time and then threw up all over the car before we got home to eat. He felt lethargic the next day and had diarrhea but not severe. He threw up at 2:00 am that night. He hasn t been himself this week. Fatigue and lethargy. Tonight before he went to bed he said his head felt dizzy like it was spinning. I am going to call the pediatrician tomorrow.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

It is important to have him checked with the pediatrician. Tick bites can transmit infections that can be serious and antibiotics are recommended routinely to prevent them so very likely your son will need antibiotics.
Meanwhile try to keep him hydrated by given frequent small amount of food and water and let him rest.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
