Suggest Treatment For Fatigue And Dizziness For My 19-year-old Daughter

My 19 year old daughter just went to the doctor because she hasn t been feeling well for a while. She seems to have an allergic reaction to something and has been tested but nothing obvious. She also has fatigue and dizzyness when she stands. I just saw her after visit summary and her blood pressure was 96/54. Is that low?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi my dear,

I am sorry for the situation your daughter is in.

Her blood pressure(BP) of 95/54 is really low and could explain her fatigue. Now, we should look into and find out what causes this low BP:
- skipping meals to keep fit
- anemia
- pregnancy
- dehydration

A few lab tests are needed to determine the right diagnosis:
- complete blood count
- Blood electrolytes
- pregnancy test
- fasting blood glucose levels and HbA1C

Hope this helps.
