Suggest Treatment For Fatigue And Joint Pain With Persistent Cold

I had a cold back about 8 weeks ago. It was one of the worse I have ever had. Since that time I have been left with symptoms of fatigue, moodiness, joint pain. I was recently started on synthroid as my tsh was elevated about 5 weeks ago. I am also a type II diabetic.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

The persistent fatigue and joint pain with cold may indicate underlying immune suppression as there is history of hypothyroid disorder and medications are going on. You need evaluation with further antibodies check up as there can be cold agglutinin positive mycoplasma pneumonia as most possible diagnosis and needs intensive care.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
