Suggest Treatment For Fatigue And Severe Lower Back Pain

Very slowly but surely, I have become crippled. I can walk, but only mostly with the assistance of something to grab on to, or crutches. It started with unrelenting fatigue while I was caring for my dying father. Also, my lower back would begin to seriously hurt so that the only way to stop it was lying down. After both he and my mother passed away, I started to have very strong leg pain, from my hips to my thighs in both legs, in the front. It got so that I couldn t walk normally. Since then I have had extensive blood work done by both a Neurologist and a Rheumatologist. They both have since said that I don t appear to have anything that would be explained by their particular fields of medicine. I do have degenerative spine and arthritis issues. I have heard also that my MRI doesn t show any reason to keep me from being able to walk. Any ideas? Naturally I m very frustrated.....

Physical Therapist or Physiotherapist 's  Response
Hello,

As this appears to me as the symptoms of the lumbar spine degenerative changes. Due to which your pain and aches have increased. I will advise to continue the pain killers and start low-intensity exercises. Like core stability, spinal muscle strengthening exercises, static hamstring, static quadriceps and straight leg raise. This will help to reduce the pain by regaining muscle strength.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
