General & Family Physician, Dr. Nishad BN's Response
Hi Thank you for asking HCM I have gone through your query. Excess of tea and coffee can cause such problems. Other main causes iare anxiety and hypothyroidism. Avoid or limit tea and coffee. Avoid cigarette smoking and alcohol if do so. Doing deep breathing exercises is helpful. Sit relaxed and take deep breaths. Do this a couple a times daily. Check your blood pressure and thyroid profile test also. If there is hypothyroidism then taking thyroxine supplements will help to normalize this. If all these are normal then and still this is not getting controlled thn taking a short course of anxiolytics or betablocker will be helpful.
Hope this may help you. Let me know if anything not clear. Thanks.
