Suggest Treatment For Fatigue In An Elderly Person
I am frequently feeling fatigued. For example after sleeping eight hours I got up and started my day. About two hours later my eyes would close as I was reading the newspaper and my chin would fall to my chest and I would be asleep. I got up and moved to an easy chair and took a two hour nap. There has been no change in my diet or medications. I am 74. Is this considered normal for my age?
The given symptoms may not be due to age if this is fatigue then it may be due to some illness, it could be infection, endocrine dysfunction, systemic disease and to differentiate all of this, several tests are needed, routine medical examination is must, the given symptoms are not normal.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Akhtarhusain
