Suggest Treatment For Fatigue, Nausea And Abdominal Cramps

Hello. I am a 28 year old overweight diabetic female whose period is 6 days late. I am usually on a 34-38 day cycle. I tested negative on all urine and blood test and even on an ultrasound last week. I have been having fatigue, nausea, slight vomiting, and mild cramping for a week now. Is it possible to still be pregnant?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

Pregnancy is unlikely, you can go for a urine pregnancy test to check whether you are pregnant or not. Long-standing diabetes can cause similar symptoms.

We have to rule out other possibilities like anemia and thyroid dysfunction also. Drink plenty of water to keep yourself hydrated.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
