Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My Fiancee has symptoms of heat exhaustion. Excessive sweating Fatigue Headache Pale skin Muscle cramps or spasms (painful) Dizziness Feeling faint Nausea Fainting Weakness (generalized) Staying out of the heat is not an option due to work he has to walk 3 blocks for the bus. Everyday morning and night were in the cold ac. He refuses to take cold showers so I know the hot showers don t help. When he gets to work he drinks fluids. He s healthy not obese. His BMI is calculated as 25.6 right by the line of 24 for 25 year old male. We think he should go to the hospital for his chills since home remedies aren t helping. Please tell me what more I can do for him. He s sick as a dog and we live in fl. the heat is killing us but were trying to so the best we can. He has to work. Any way we can relieve him? Any thing over the counter that can hydrate him if water and electrolytes arent covering it?
