Suggest Treatment For Fatigue When Diagnosed With Typhoid

Hello. I am facing typhoid for last six months on continuous basis. I have done around five tests namely Typhoid IgM & IgG . In all tests, IgG is Negative and IgM is positive. Also I did test Widal two times, 30 days ago and then today. In both Widal tests, all other ranges are ok, except TH which is 1:320. Since two months I have NO fever. But I feel tiredness and weekness. If I stand/walk for a couple of minutes, I feel I am standing/walking for many hours. I also used Novidat (Ciprofloxacine) 500mg for two weeks but my test IgM is continuously positive? Why it is not converting to Negative?

Hello,

Fatigue after typhoid is a common problem. Due to loss of appetite patients generally neglect taking inadequate nutrients & slowly get weak.

Patients generally recover fully in three months, since you are suffering from six months, it looks like the your symptoms are indicative of relapses.

You are suggested to get follow up physical examinations done by a GP. If oral antibiotics are not working you may require it intravenously.

Sine you are getting fatigue, you require support of intravenous fluids. Get admitted, get properly treated.

Take home made food preferably boiled. Avoid food that is oily, spicy &
packaged. Neglect sometimes leads to surgery.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
