Suggest Treatment For Fatigue While On Treatment For Liver Abscess
I was diagnosed with three liver abscess and I was in the hospital for 28 days 4 days in intensive care as I became sepsis and they drained the pus out of the liver and found that I also had a portal vein thrombosis and fluid in my lung. I was discharged after 28 days with Medline and antibiotics and blood thinner. It has been 2 months since ultimately has stopped I don t feel back to normal I still have pain on my right side and I have a lot of fatigue. What were the recovery period be for someone like me
Based on the history you have shared, you have been quite a lot in the last few weeks so it's expected that for few months generalized weakness, pain etc can persist.
It's good that access was drained but pain and inflammation may persist for a few weeks to months.
In order to relieve orotal vein thrombosis, blood thinners may be used up to 3-6 months so after that recovery in that regard is expected. Post sepsis myalgias or body aches may persist.
You can use vitamin B complexes too if they are affected due to antibiotics intake for this long.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care

Dr Saddiq Ulabidin, General & Family Physician
