Suggest Treatment For Fatty Liver And Kidney Stones

Hi My mother has been suffering from increased sgot and sgot levels. She was diagnosed with a mild fatty liver and the doctor prescribed her medicines accordingly. She is on a strict diet control, goes for a walk daily and has even lost weight. But her sgot and sgot levels keep on fluctuating. Sometimes they come down then again they shoot up. Don t know what is happening. All her other liver tests are normal. She was also diagnosed with a kidney stone last month. Could that have any link?

Hi Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concern...
There is no correlation between increased sgot and sgpt levels & kidney stone. Sometimes kidney stone are discovered incidentally with a ultrasound done for other purposes.

Fatty liver is often caused by alcohol abuse. However it may also be caused by diabetes & obesity. If one follow a healthy diet and lifestyle regimen, that will help reduce these tests , reverse fatty liver and optimize blood sugar levels.
I would advise following diet plan :
- eat often and small portions
- avoid fatty, sugary foods
- can eat turkey instead of chicken
- consume more fish, vegetables, olive oil, two eggs per day
- with regards to fruits, I advise to eat green apples, 1 small banana per day, oranges, kiwi, plums, etc. Avoid fruits in syrup base.

I also advise to take supplements containing multivitamins and minerals and herbal extract to optimize blood sugar level, If she has pre diabetic or diabetes

Hope this information helps
All the best!
