There is no specific treatment for fatty liver. But one can improve the condition and prevent its progress by doing the following: 1. Quit smoking and drinking alcohol, if habituated to. 2. Eat balanced and healthy diet by consuming low quantities of carbohydrates and fats with proper quantities of dietary fibers. 3. Exercise regularly. 4. Antioxidant compound medications containing Vitamin E, selenium, lipoic acid, and vitamin C needs to be taken regularly.
Iron supplements can be taken to treat anemia. Get an ultrasound scan done once in every 6 months to know the status of the liver functioning and consult a physician with the report for clinical evaluation and appropriate management.
