Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Husband has flu-like symptoms, fever, aches and pains generally and cough--these symptoms are in line with the flu but the last two days he has had pain in his molars and in the mandible making it difficult to eat or drink especially hot and cold foods and drinks---I am giving him soft foods and liquids at room temperature. His doctor says all of this is in line with the flu but the molar and mandible pain has us questioning this. What do you think.
Molar and mandible pain may be due to dental caries irt that molar usually some tooth infection gets worse after fever. In most of the cases tooth infection can lead to high fever and headache.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Dona Raj, Dentist
