Suggest Treatment For Fever Along With Chills And Dizziness

my ex has had a temp for five days now 101.9 with chills, dizziness,and pain in his whole body the nurse practitioner told him that it was acute otitis he is not getting any better the fever is not going away ,when should we make a move to go to the ER or not

I would like to know whether the patient has pain in the ear or any kind of discharge from the ear or any other ear related symptoms. If not, then, simply from chills, dizziness, whole body pain, we can't say that the patient has acute otitis media. I would like to give some tests for proper diagnosis and meanwhile I would like him to start the minimal treatment without wasting any time.

The tests to be done:
1. Complete Blood Tests
2. Ear CT
3. Blood Culture

Meanwhile you can give him Paracetamol 650 mg for fever. You can also start antibiotic Amoxicillin / Clavulanate 500 mg twice a day for 7 days. Please post the test result here so that it can be diagnosed and proper antibiotic and other drugs can be given.
