Suggest Treatment For Fever And Coughing Of Black Phlegm
My Wife is suffering from a viral fever for the past 5 days.Her fever range is 99 to 100 degree (not more than that).
She is having problemin coughing & have dark bulgum coming around from the throat.We are presently taking medicines of throat infection,but fever is not coming down.
Understanding your concern. As per your query your wife have symptoms of fever and coughing of black phlegm which is mainly due to viral infection. Need not to worry, it will take 5-7 days for fever to go away. Till then do tepid sponging on head and extremities. Avoid intake of any oily and fried food and cold carbonated liquids. Take combination of antibiotic such as Levofloxacin along with Ibuprofen/ Acetaminophen. You should take Levocetrizine as well. You should take cough expectorants along with warm saline gargles as well. Apply mist humidifiers in room. Visit ENT specialist once and get it examined and go for blood and sputum tests and start treatment accordingly.
