Suggest Treatment For Fever And Diarrhea In A Child
Hi I have visited India in vacation with my kids. And because of dirty food and water my child has got loose motion and fever 37.8c What antibiotic should I give for a 4 year old boy. Is Bifilac good to give with it. Is there any bad effects of BIFILAC
Hello, Thank you for your query. Sorry to hear about your son.
Antibiotics need to be given according to the type of infection suspected. Usually ofloxacin with metronidazole helps. Bifilac is lactobacillus. This is the good bacteria.
I recommend : -a pediatrician consult -plenty of fluids and proper nutrition. Avoid milk, sugar, sodas and oily, fatty foods -give soft, bland, easy to digest food. -a zinc supplement to heal faster and prevent further diarrhea
Please consult his doctor before administering any medications. Hope this helps and that he feels better. Make sure you complete the full course of medications as prescribed by his doctor, even if there are no symptoms.
Please let me know if there is anything else I can help you with
Wish you good health
