Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi my husband has had intermittent fever 99.9 to 100.00with dry cough and fatigue mostly at night. He started taking valsartan a couple of weeks ago but had to stop due to night sweats and developing the dry cough. He went to his doctor and was told his lungs sound ok. He has been off the medication for 3 days now. The night sweats stopped. The on and off fever, dry cough and fatigue at night persist. I am worried this could be a sign of something more serious. Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you
For dry cough I advise you to take dextromethorphan syrup. And for fever take paracetamol whenever needed. Finally end with 'Hope I have answered your question. If you have any further questions I will be happy to help". For Follow up questions, end with "If you do not have any clarifications, you can close the discussion and rate the answer. Wish you good health".
