Hi,I am Diwashish Biswas (Internal Medicine Specialist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I’ve been sick for the past 2 months, puking on and off, nosing always running, coughing, lots of phlegm with bits of blood, heavy chest, sometimes I feel my heart rasr for no reason and I have terrible migraines. But what’s really making me question is every night for the past week I’ve been getting a fever of 102- 103 but that’s only at night.
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
Evening rise in temperature along with a cough associated with sputum and weight loss (appetite loss) are the symptoms of tuberculosis. And you are suffering from the above symptoms since last 2 months.
I advise you to get an appointment of pulmonary medicine doctor and get sputum smear examination done for tuberculosis.
Also, have a chest x-ray to confirm tuberculosis or else to find out other respiratory lesions. If lung tuberculosis is there, then you should start an anti-tubercular treatment regimen.
It includes 2 months of active phase with 4 medicines and 4 months of continuous phase with 3 medicines. So, consult a Pulmonologist as early as possible.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Hiren Hirpara
