Suggest Treatment For Fever, Body Aches And Sore Ankles

My son is 22. He is in great health normally. But as a 2 days ago came down with fever, body aches, specifically his spine. I noticed yesterday a sore under his eye. He now has sores (not really sure if it is sores or large hives) on his ankle, still under his eye, but mostly covering his underwear area. He says they itch. It is not a rash. Looks like a red lump. What could this be. He says the aches have gone away but he feels weak and not well.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

I read carefully your query and understand your concern.

The symptoms of your son seem to be related to a viral infection.

I suggest to use anti inflammatory medications such as Ibuprofen three times a day.

I also suggest using Calamine lotion for the rash.

I recommend to eat healthy and drink a lot of liquids.

Hope my answer was helpful.

If you have further queries feel free to contact me again.

Kind regards!
