Suggest Treatment For Fever, Cold And Green Mucus For A 4-month-old

1 year 4 months old baby, having fever and severe cold, green/yellow mucus, advised to take below med: Moxclav bd 228.5 mg - 6 ml twice a day for 5 days Sinarest AF syrup - 2 ml thrice a day Nasivion drops - 2 drops in each nose thrice a day As per the instructions on Moxclav medicine, the sterile water provided with the medicine was added up to the mark on the bottle and kept in refrigerator. But a bottle of 30 ml was supposed to last for 5 doses and was over with 4 doses. Should I have added more water to the medicine? Is there any side effect for overdose?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

This isn't a toxic dose or isn't enough overdose to cause side effects. Also drug in the bottle has been consumed a dose earlier and if infection has subsided, it will be enough and may not be needed to be continued.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further. Wishing you a speedy recovery.

Regards,
