Hello doctor. I am suffering from mild fever , little cold and sore throat for about 2 weeks now. I went to doctor yesterday and he gave me nu-roxim 500 , monzine , and meftal forte. However , I have sore throat and seems to be no improvement. ? Can you please suggest. I do gargle 2 times a day. Sore throat start around 4 days ago and cold and fever was from 2 weeks

Hi, Thanks for the query. I understand your concern. You had cold & fever since 15 days , sore throat started from 4 days& You have started treatment since yesterday . He has prescribed you antibiotic, anti inflammatory & anti allergic pills- which seem to be a good combination...You should take it for 3-5 days at a stretch as per instruction given. Continue with gargles,avoid known allergens , dust, fumes,smoke,sour,-fried or cold eatables, avoid exposure to extreme temperature, Drink warm water. I think that should suffice. If no relief.. you need to consult the doctor again for change of antibiotic OR consult an ENT specialist. Thanks,
