Suggest Treatment For Fever, Cough, Muscle Pain, Runny Nose, Slight Headache And Diarrhea

Hi. I m a little concerned that my period might be links to TSS (Toxic Shock Syndrome). The day I started my period I started with a small cough and it has now been two days. Both days I have had a fever, muscule pain, running nose, slight headache, a cough and diarrhea. I wasn t wearing a tampon when I first started to I was wondering if somehow their linked even though I wasn t wearing a tampon?

Hi,

I feel it is viral and not likely related to tampon. Please continue with genital hygiene during periods. Have light nourishing food, plenty of water. Take tab of Ibuprofen paracetamol pill over the counter (like Combiflam) twice a day with tab Cetirizine at bed time after food. Take a cough syrup like Coscopin with hot water twice a day. Do consult your family doctor for possible allergy to any of the drug. Mostly viral goes away in 8 days. If not or if symptoms aggravate, consult your family doctor.
