Suggest Treatment For Fever, Diarrhea And Red Rashes

Grandson,m, age 20 mos, has been experiencing fever for the last 10 days, ranging from 99-103. seen by MD and at that time , on day 3, neg strep but pus pockets on throat. Continues to have poor appetite, cont to offer fluids, diarrhea. Started on Culturelle to help regulate BM. Day ten now presents red rash but not bright red or typical of scarlet fever, starting on neck and by day 11 down to chest, minimal facial swelling. No new medications or different foods prior to these s/s.

Hello,

Fever, rash and diarrhea may be due to infection with the virus.

Check for rotavirus antigen in the stool. Also, check for dehydration, give him plenty of liquids or ORS solution.

Please consult your pediatrician he will examine and treat you accordingly.
