i have been experiencing fever, fatigue and a sore or stiff neck. cannot remember any recent tick bites. this has been going on for a week. went to urgent care and was tested for strep and flu. both negative. was prescribed antibiotics and has helped but still fatigued and generally feel bad

You need to see infectologist as soon as possible since it may indicate meningitis and in this case urgent treatment is required. This would be worst scenario and of course we hope that this is just flu or cold.
