Suggest Treatment For Fever, Headache And Muscle Pain

My husband is having intense joint pain, fever, and headaches. Saw a doctor this morning and he said it was viral but didn t do any testing. Getting concerned and trying to decide whether to go to the ER. He has been in NHL remission for several years.

Hello,

I understand your concern with the fact that your husband has had non-hodgin lymphoma years ago. On the other hand, if your husband has had these symptoms for less than a week, there is nothing to worry, it is worth to give a few days as very likely it is a viral infection and will get better.

If the symptoms last for more than 10 days then you will need to send him to the doctor again and possibly have some tests done.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Antoneta Zotaj, General & Family Physician
