My son is 29 years old and is suffering from a headache, fever of 101.4, and sore throat. This came on kind of sudden. He was seen today at a FastER care clinic where they did a rapid strep test that came back negative. They told him to come home and take 800 mg of ibuprofen every 8 hours. His temperature was near 103 when he was seen at the clinic.
