Suggest Treatment For Fever, Hip Pain And Vomiting
my daughter is 40 and has a fever of 103 and has pain in her hips and down her legs. Her husband has had same for a week and went to dr 2 days ago and they said is a severe virus going around U.K. She suffers from panic attacks and has asthma. Is there anything she can do to relieve leg/hip pain? She has taken daily allotment of tylenol, last dose 5 hrs ago. she is weak and cannot walk. she has call in for national health, but has not heard back. She has been vomiting, but is mostly mucous. any suggestions?

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of fever, hip pain and vomiting . Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query musculoskeletal pain , strain or sprain of the muscles, tendons , viral upper respiratory infection such as a cold or flu and symptoms of the flu. Apply warm compresses on back . I would suggest you to consult pediatrician for proper examination. Doctor may order blood test , viral culture test and check vital look for infection. Doctor may refer you to ENT specialist or orthopedic surgeon. Doctor may prescribe antiviral like acyclovir along with analgesic and antipyretic . For now take ibuprofen or acetaminophen for pain and drink warm glass of water with one spoon of honey in it.
