General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

If despite antibiotics for two to three days there isnt response in the sense that intensity or frequency of fever isn't changed than your child may need to be switches to other antibiotic.

I suggest a pediatric review and get blood counts and other baseline investigation done to locate cause of fever. Meanwhile OTC analgesics like acetaminophen or Ibuprofen can be used along with cold sponging during ever spikes.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Wishing you a speedy recovery.

Regards,
