My son is 3 yrs and 7 month old. He started having fever around 2 pm so I gave him Paracetamol syrup. But the fever came again around 6pm which is higher than before to 102.8°F axillary. Repeated the PCM syrup. I gave him tepid sponging and by 11 pm repeated the dose. But after every 3 hour, fever arises again and lastly gave him 5 ml of Metal P. Is it okay ? What could be the cause of sudden fever which is so high.
