Hi,

All the symptoms indicate toward bacterial infection, may be causing bacteremia or septicemia which comes on easily in children particularly. I would advise you to take the child to a pediatrician, ENT surgeon for second opinion. Relevant tests of blood particularly for WBC, culture and sensitivity to rule out typhoid and such problems. You may need round the clock Advil, additional antibiotic, admission to the hospital if vomiting is persistent.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. T. Chandrakant, General Surgeon
